His near-post header and then low finish into the corner put the hosts in control in Caracas before Bruno Miranda replied with a bullet header to give Bolivia hope at the break.
Darwin Machis robbed goalkeeper Carlos Lampe after a defensive mix-up to extend Venezuela's advantage before Leonel Justiniano was shown a straight red card on the hour mark for a stamp.
Rondon, who has managed just one goal in 6 months with Everton, completed his hat-trick midway through the second half with an emphatic finish high past Lampe.

Probably a good creole breakfast (arepas, caraotas, arroz, queso, platanos etc..) washed down with a cafecito helped improve his physical and mental state.

He heads, he moves, he spins, he shoots, he scores!

Surely that's not their number one goalie, it's got to be one of the fans who have sneaked onto the pitch.
Must admit he looks a lot fitter than when he first came to the club.

Having seen his goals, I must say they were all good finishes. I assume he had the support of his home crowd and not the murmur of discontent to which he has sometimes been subjected in the last few months...
Having the fans on your side tends to help players deliver their best performances.

We have some terrible players, and he's the latest to that list.
16 Posted 29/01/2022 at 12:56:32
He's still crap. Why do we have to wait for players to probably come good? Let's get players in that are already on top form.
Hopefully Lampard has a few midfielders and a striker lined up for us. God knows we need them.

The answer to your closing question is "no", but he was brought in by Benitez so the correct answer is "yes".

Secondly, he was so far from fit when he arrived, he should never have been give the amount of game time he was allowed. But somehow, he was allowed to get fit, at the team's expense. For most games he was involved in, we played with 10 men, as he just didn't get involved, the game passed him by.
Anyway hopefully he can move on and we will get some kind of a fee for him.

Fitness,
Movement,
Positioning.
Plenty of completion for the striker spot in the second half of the season going on that performance.

Will the real Rondon come out and show yourself, for fuck's sake.
31 Posted 30/01/2022 at 15:22:21
20- or 30-minute spells at the end of some games, to give a rest to Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison might provide some relief and two or three goals for the Blues.
Might!!

I think if Rondon's debut would have been against Brentford, then people would have a different opinion of the man. Although I'm certain that most people won't agree with me on this.

Alls up for grabs let's see what Frank and his coaches decide.

These players are not as rubbish as many think - we have just found ways to avoid getting the best out of them.

The post saying that Rondon would score every week in the Championship interests me though. Against Hull City,, he looked leggy and never came anywhere near scoring, or creating a chance.
Maybe a work-out back home in the sun was what he needed.
