Games are coming thick and fast now for Everton U18s as they squeeze six into the final month of league competition.

After a well-contested first half, Martin Sherif came off the bench after the break to replace Emilio Lawrence and score 10 minutes into the second half.

That is indeed a fine win, Blackburn could have gone 2nd if they’d won. A good mix of schoolboys and 1st year scholars too. I didn’t realise it was Jacob Beaumont-Clark’s first appearance, I know he’s been on the bench before. He was up there with Lawrence and Samuels-Smith as ones to watch out for at the start of the season. I’m not aware if he’s just suffered injuries or didn’t develop as quickly, but still a schoolboy so time to make his mark this season.

Yes a very good win with such a young team playing.
