In the first half, the visitors took the lead after just 10 minutes, Everton coming back twice with goals from Sherif and Ebere before Sherif was dismissed. In the second half, Dan Maher was the second Everton player to go for an early bath, and the visitors took advantage, scoring two more goals in the final stages of a disastrous game for Baines's young Blues.
