Everton U21s were held to a draw by Colchester Utd thanks to a late goal given 3 minutes from the end of normal time at Wallace Binder in Maldon this afternoon. 

This game was in Group F of the Premier League Cup, with Everton having won the return fixture 2 weeks earlier by the very impressive scoreline of 7-2. 

The young Blues started well when the improving striker, Katia Kouyate, put Everton ahead in the 15th minute.   

However, with less than 5 minutes remaining of normal time, the home side stole an equaliser from a scramble in the box to rescue a point.   

Everton U21s: Leban, John, Hunt, Welch, Anderson (59' I Samuels-Smith), Campbell [Y:37'], Higgins (59' Heath), Butterfield (59' Djankpata), Okoronkwo (74' Sherif [Y:81']), Quirk, Kouyate.
