Everton U18s are beaten away at the City Academy

Manchester City U18s 4 - 0 Everton U18s

Everton U18s gave up their 5-month unbeaten record to U18 Premier League leaders Manchester City at the Academy Stadium today.

City sit atop the North division, fully 20 points ahead of Everton who are down in 6th place on the back of an extended run of games undefeated that extends back to November 2022. 

And their last game, a rearranged 1-1 draw at home to Wolves on Tuesday, shows that a number of new young players have been elevated to the squad:

George Pickford
Luca Davis
Joshua van Schoor
Harvey Foster
Joel Catesby
George Finney

All who played on Tuesday.

Everton kept it tight to go in all square at the break, but City drove to a strong win with 4 second-half goals.

Everton U18s: Jensen, Maher, Van Schoor (88' Finney), Jones, Wilson, I Samuels-Smith, Beaumont-Clark (85' Cahill), Bates (89' Foster), Sherif, Heath, Ebere (66' Barker).

Subs not Used: Graham,

Everton's team is :Jenson,Maher, Van Schoor,Jones,Wilson, Samuels- Smith,Beaumont-Clark,Bates, Sherif, Heath, Ebere. Subs : Graham, Finney,Foster, Cahill, Barker.

No news of the game itself yet.

Everton seem to be doing okay,0-0 at half time, City rule the roost in this league, unbeaten all season I think. Jenson made a great early save, Sherif had a good shot saved and we've had a couple of half chances,

That score didn't last long after the interval it soon became 1-0 2-0 3-0 then 4-0 with about five minutes to go, but it is a very young team so maybe they got weaker as the game went on!!
