Everton reserve goalkeeper, Harry Tyrer, has committed to a further year with the Club after putting pen to paper on a new contract today.
The 22-year-old, who has just helped Chesterfield back into the EFL as winners of the National League during his season-long loan with the Spireites, says he has grown a lot as a player over the past couple of seasons and now has his sights set on eventually representing his beloved Blues at senior level.
“It’s a boyhood dream of mine to be at this club and it’s probably every Evertonians’ dream to be at this club,” he told evertonfc.com after signing the deal that keeps him at Goodison Park until June 2026. “I’ve worked hard this season and that’s come with a lot of rewards.
“Last season, it was Chester. This season, it was Chesterfield. I’ve grown up a lot in the lower leagues and I’ve definitely come on leaps and bounds as a goalkeeper.
“I’ve enjoyed it a lot. I’ve grown up as a young player. It’s been a positive learning curve and it’s been great winning the league and enjoying that.
“[My future target is definitely] to play for the senior team. I think that’s everyone’s dream.
“I’d like to play as many games as possible and hopefully, one day, be walking out to either Goodison Park or Bramley-Moore Dock.”
