Sean Dyche may have played down reports that Everton have lodged a bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward, Hugo Ekitiké but sources in France continue to suggest that the Blues are in contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding the forward.
Both Sky Sports News and Fabrizio Romano had reported earlier this month that the Blues had made a loan offer for Ekitike with an option to buy but Dyche later said that if there had been contact between the two clubs, he wasn’t aware of it.
In the meantime, the feeling developed that any interest from Everton was likely to be trumped by other interested parties, notably Lens, Eintracht Frankfurt and now Lyon.
AC Milan and West Ham have also emerged as potential suitors, with the Hammers said to be offering a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Romano has suggested that PSG want a total package worth around €35m for the player and the latest reporting from Le Parisien today still has Everton in the mix for the 21-year-old.
