Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for the sale of Demarai Gray which can go ahead once Sean Dyche has been able to add further additions to his squad.
However, BBC Sport now claim that Fulham are in talks to sign the newly-minted Jamaica international.
According to Alan Myers and Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports, the forward will be free to leave Goodison Park once further attacking reinforcements have been signed by the Blues, with Palace thought to be heading a queue for his services that also includes Besiktas in Turkey and un-named clubs in the burgeoning Saudi league.
Gray is thought to prefer to remain in England which would theoretically strengthen the hand of Roy Hodgson, who is looking to plug the gap left by Wilfried Zaha’s departure for the Turkish Super Lig this summer, but the BBC report suggests that the player would opt for Craven Cottage over Selhurst Park.
Gray was an important member of Everton’s squad last season as they battled relegation without the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin and then the departed Anthony Gordon but, with Dyche thought to be looking to add more height and power to his attack and Arnaut Danuma already through the door, the former Birmingham and Leicester man will be allowed to leave to raise funds.
Everton have been linked heavily with Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto but, as yet, nothing concrete has come of the persistent speculation and that has led to links with Tete who recently went down with Leicester and would be attracted to a return to the top flight.
