Everton got off to a fantastic start in the final ever men's senior game at Goodison Park, with Ndiaye taking command and firing an unstoppable shot past Ramsdale to give them the lead after just 6 minutes.
An absolutely fantastic away day. And not just the result. I gave Man of the Match to Michael Keane but our supporters never cease to amaze me.
After a really poor first half where a strange Everton line-up had allowed Marco Silva's Fulham to take the lead, a much more competitive second half saw Everton take all the points at Craven Cottage in the glorious spring sunshine.
We sounded lively from the start but it quickly descended into a typical end-of-season encounter. The supporters became subdued and the players were going through the motions.
The penultimate game at Goodison Park should have been a celebratory bonanza with the 1878 Group pulling out all the stops to memorialise the Grand Old Lady … but The Tractor Boys had other ideas above their station.
