Season › 2024-25 › News Kelly Gago extends stay at Everton Women Anjishnu Roy 02/07/2025 0comments | Jump to last Kelly Gago has signed a new three-year deal with Everton Women, which is set to keep her at Merseyside until 2028. Signed from French outfit FC Nantes in January this year, Gago made a quick impression. She scored five goals and registered two assists with Brian Sorensen’s side enjoying a better second half of the campaign. “I am so proud to represent Everton every time I step out on the pitch,” Gago told the club website. “It was an amazing feeling to hear the fans sing my name at Walton Hall Park – it is going to be even better at our new home Goodison Park. “I want to get on the scoresheet as many times as possible and help the team achieve its goals. I am really excited by the project that we are building and have had positive talks with Brian [Sorensen] about the future of this club.” The 26-year-old will don the number 11 shirt for the Blues this season. She has also been named in France’s squad for the European Women’s Championship, which begins this week. With Everton Women set to play at the historic Goodison Park this season, Gago is looking forward to the experience. “I want to be a key part of the project and help Everton get to where they want to be. “I am yet to play at Goodison Park, but I am relishing the opportunity and can only imagine the buzz at stepping out of the tunnel for the first time. “The owners have spoke to us players about their ambitions and they align with my personal aspirations. The Women’s Super League is the best league in the world, in my opinion, and I want to keep testing myself against top opposition.” Reader Comments Note: the following content is not moderated or vetted by the site owners at the time of submission.
