Ivan willing to take a pay cut, nice of him. He's getting, not earning, £700k a week! So his pay cut would still make him the highest paid in the Premier League, say round £400k a week.

So that completely rules us out of the running... Next!!!

Interesting, Samuel. But it's not exactly an exciting bunch, is it? Watching Parrott against Portugal and Hungary, the Evertonian might just have come up to the mature player capability level. Perhaps it would be a good move for us.

Paul. I agree and the added comment from Al-Ahli that he is going nowhere this coming January would seem to preclude him from a move to Everton. But, he certainly knows where the goal is.

Everton will target Celtic and Japan forward Daizen Maeda, 28, in January.

Maeda to leave Celtic in January if new forward signed

Everton are targeting Maeda in January as he seeks a move to the Premier League despite a slow start to this term with four goals in his first 17 appearances of the season.

The Japan international looks set to depart Parkhead if the right offer comes in, but the Hoops will only let him make an exit if another versatile attacker is brought in.

And now it's 21-year-old Argentine Santiago Tomás Castro who has scored 13 in 53 for present club Bologna and 8 in 61 back home for for Velez Sarsfield.

He's way too prolific for us, 21 goals in 114 games.

There has to be better options surely, even in Janaury?

Apparently Bayern Munich are set to put an offer in for Franculino Dju at the end of the season.
