I had a similar conversation off line with Tony yesterday. In that version tho Tone said he’d take a 5-0 loss to Liverpool and win all the other games. I said the opposite – I’d rather twat the shite 5-0 and to hell with the other games. Does that make me bitter and petty? I’d be interested how many would agree with me or with Tony?

Tony – no! No! No! And again I say no! Away with such thoughts! I watched their game – they have lost it. All we have to do is give them a good hiding after we beat Brentford and everything else will follow. Our time is coming. I can feel it in my water.

You wouldn’t have to be torn, John. In the European run over those two seasons, you’d be beaten just the once. Against Eintracht Frankfurt. But you’d have twatted Lyon 0-3 away. And beaten Fiorentina in a thrilling final. With a massive bus top parade too. Hope you both have a great Easter Sunday.🥂

Because I think the only time a question like that wouldn’t be foolish Philip, is if you had asked it to Kevin. Kevin is the only one who says he his not interested in the cups, (he might say different because you are talking about European football) but I’m sure that anyone else would bite your hand off mate. In a couple of weeks I’d love to beat Liverpool 5-0, but I’d take a 5-0 defeat if it meant Everton, could win a trophy in the next two years
