Tommy's Top Ten

Lifelong Evertonian Tommy Davis
runs through his favourite Everton goals

1) Colin Harvey's screamer, against WBA in the 1969-70 victorious Championship season at Goodison Park, his goal being the clincher in a 2-0 win.

2) The infamous Barry Horne rocket against the Wombles from Wimbledon, May 1994, which helped us stave off relegation — thankfully never to be repeated... (Yeah right!)

3) Graeme Sharp's stunning extra-time winning volley against Sheffield Wednesday, in the 1986 FA Cup semi-final, at Villa Park.

4) Derek Temple's 1966 FA Cup Final winner, against Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley — oh, the joy of it!

5) Tricky Trevor Stevens' winning goal against Bayern Munchen in the magnificent 3-1 semi-final victory, on the way to wining European Cup-Winners Cup, 1985.

6) The Alex Young header against Spurs at Goodison, in the 1962/63 Championship winning season, beating the Southern Softies 1-0.

7) Andy King's momentous goal, against Liverpool at Goodison, in 1978.  This goal stopped a barren run after 13 winless attempts against Beelzebub's demons.

8) Kevin Sheedy's last-minute free kick, against Luton Town, in the 1985 FA Cup semi-final, at Villa Park.

9) Big Duncan Ferguson's first goal for the Blues — a towering header against Liverpool at Goodison, November 1994, in a 2-0 win — Joe Royle's first match in charge!!!

10) A top-ten all time Everton goals list could not omit Sharpy's brilliant volley, against Liverpool in the superb 1984/85 Championship winning surge to the title.
