Is it just me.......

....or does anyone else find it a little embarrassing that every time we win a big game, Everton release a DVD of it?

Why are the wins over Chelsea and Man Utd granted this status? It's bad enough it happens after every derby win.

Whatever next... relive the magic of the Burnley home win? It makes Everton look very small time in my opinion.

It’s down to our low opinion of ourselves right at the very top. We celebrate victories over the "big" clubs like a lower division side causing a cup upset.

This is evident in the fact that we sing about Liverpool in our club song (?). No more proof is needed.

Not just you. It’s sad. Although, I rather like ’if ya know your history’ Andy.

It is a little bit sad but if we didn’t do it we’d have people on here having a go at the marketing people for missing a trick.

Its obviously not just you, but I don’t agree. The club can’t win sometimes. They’ve been rightly criticised for the merchandise side of things in the past and they’re taking an opportunity to do something positive here.

Rightly or wrongly, the fact is that we hadn’t beaten Chelsea for a long time and we very rarely beat Man Utd.

Well the truth is they are ’cup finals’ these days aren’t they!

It makes me cringe. "The magnificent 7th" remember that one?

It’s called marketing and sales. If no one bought the stuff they wouldn’t sell it, but If it helps pay Arteta’s wages then I’m all for it.

Andew, we may not have to long to wait for the release of "The Return of the Magnificent Seventh"

I know what you mean Chris, but as others have mentioned - we’d be moaning if they ignored such money making schemes... if people buy them, why not? I should imagine Man Utd and Liverpool sell DVD’s when they beat eachother too.

The last 12 months or so, has seen a big improvement on that side of the club. The shop in Liverpool One is quality, and the megastore isn’t bad either. I also think the type of leisurewear has come on a lot, and its stuff I buy now. Used to look a bit cheap and tacky. And since the initial shock of only being able to pick up a shirt direct from Everton, I think its quite clever, and would make the club much higher margins.

Nice one Steve Guy; people come on here complaining that the commercial side of the club isn’t good enough, and then complain when we sell things!

Just want opinions of the continuation of DVD's we make whenever we have a good result for the club. First, there was the 7-0 against Sunderland and now these 2 games against Chelsea and Utd!

What is the point of them seriously? Do other clubs do it? No! My housemates joke to me that it's small club mentality, and they're all Sunderand and Newcastle fans for god sakes, and I'm kinda inclined to agree.

It may only be a small issue, but it brings an image that we think it is such a remarkable acheivement that we beat teams 7-0 or beat any of the top 4. Yes, of course it's a great acheivement, but I expect to see these kind of acheivements a hell of a lot more often!

Rant over.

Nope not just you, I’ve thought this for a while, ever since I saw the ’Magnificent Seventh’ DVD and the DVD when we beat Liverpool 1-0 in 2004, talk about celebrating mediocrity.

But that’s just what Everton do best and have done for some time now, when you go to Goodison of a match day, they are still showing re-runs of the ’95 Cup Final...I mean come on, it was nearly 16 years ago!

I can sort of level with them bringing a DVD out featuring the Chelsea and United games - hardly anyone manages to beat them two in successive games.

However, until we actually win some silverware this is going to be the height of our achievments; the odd win over Liverpool, Chelsea etc etc.
