Which Everton will show up tomorrow?

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game. But I am wondering which Everton will show up. Our season has been consistently inconsistent as we'll turn in a cracking performance / result and follow it with a woeful one. Notably away from in recent weeks.

Hull gave us the freedom of Goodison last weekend and we picked them off. Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal (away) and Man U arguably gave us sufficient space to play and we got good results. However, what I have noted is that, when teams press up on us and harry us, we look far less effective. <:P>Birmingham have done it twice this season, Liverpool kicked us around Anfield and even Sporting Lisbon got in amongst us and won the midfield battle in Lisbon...

So, will we have enough to see off Birmingham, or will we be ground down in a dour battle?

Feel the same Andy. Perhaps he should play THE HEITINGA in midfield today. He and Arteta could take care of Bowyer and Ferguson.

Brum won’t give us half as much space as Hull did but agree with Heitinga in the holding role, their defence isn’t anything to write home about it’s just they chase everything and close teams down. They are weak down their left hand side though something we saw in the cup game but didn’t exploit but which was exploited in the game after that by Chelski who scored their first two goals from that wing.

We need to change the way we approach away games. The days of having a squad which was good at keeping it tight and nicking a goal have gone. We’re a better footballing side now and need to start being positive from the start rather than leeting the opposition take the initiative, go a goal behind and then chase the game.

I really hope we go for it today.

Its a must win game I guess if we really harbour any ambition of at least challenging for Europe. The teams above us all have winnable games, so we have to get the points here, and hope one or two slip up.

These are the games were we will miss Fellaini the most, and like Gavin and Christopher, I’d be tempted to let Jonny deputise in that role, particulary with Jags being back.

Errr Gavin, they’ve a pretty good defence this season, 8 goals conceeded at home.......better than Chelsea, same as Man U. And Scott Dann and Roger Johnson have impressed not only me.

We haven’t made a good account of ourselves in both games this season so this one has got to be ours

I suspect that we will face a very hard working even aggressive Birmingham team intent on not giving us an inch. It will be a tight game and will be won by an odd goal , possibly the only one - and whoever scores first will win.

Although my money’s on 1-1 I think we’ve got every chance today, the team are playing with confidence and they know what to expect today, a well organised side who can knock it about and will have very fervent support behind them today. Stop them playing and stop their crowd from getting behind them and it’s ours for the taking I reckon..... but then I guess that applies to most games of football doesnt it...

These are the games we are not expected to win but we must to get anything from this season.

Pienaar and Donovan wide are the key players, Brum's centre backs are playing very well but can be got at if we can get behind them. The way Brum set there stall out, ie, hard to beat, is best countered by moving the ball quickly. We will get chances to win this game we must take them.

Anybody think moyes is thinkin about life after donovan.

Where does this leave bily?

Not sure id put vic on the wing, they are compact we need skill and pace to through them
