As the end of season draws to a close and we sign off on another season in the top-flight I would like to say a huge Thank You to Michael, Lyndon, and all contributors who make this site what it is and one that I personally use as the first port of call regarding Everton.

To one and all, enjoy the Summer, let's hope there are not too many twists and turns, and roll on August... which, in the words of the great Brian Labone always heralded the start of a 'happy new year'.

Thanks for that, Peter. Much appreciated. Although it really is the contributors who make the site what it is. I want to thank everyone who contributes.

The season's over... but the silly season of transfer twaddle is just around the corner!!!

Or maybe we'll just close up shop until August and have a nice rest, enjoy the sun, not think about footie for a while...

[Dunno what Lyndon has done to the Prem Table... we seem to have stepped back a few months!!!]

I love the silly season. I'm bracing myself for the 'Requilme at the airport' rumours already. Mind you, come deadline day and I know I will be on here till midnight gnashing my teeth and waiting for rabbits out of hats.

I must add my compliments also to a fine season of sharing banter, criticism, general comments and information with all the Evertonians worldwide. This is the best place to be and, although not the best of seasons, again we have had no shortage of interesting topics to dwell on.

Let's hope next season the Blues are not a Jekyll & Hyde team as this season turned out to be.

The above comments say it all, but for my tuppence-worth, thanks a million to the supporters for all your efforts towards the site, and thanks a mega-million to the TW team for all their hard work and efforts to provide us with the vehicle to bitch and moan about anything and everything to do with Everton.

Although this season has been both abysmal and (at times) worth it, the comments on the Match Day Forum have had me in stitches and forgetting the pain of what I, along with the others, have suffered.

Thinking about it,

I always look forward to one of these threads. I would say some of us cant thank Michael and Lyndon enough for what is for some of us, our second home. What's really nice is when you see an offspring post a comment and as an Everton supporter think, arh, job done we have spawned the "Next Generation".

A special thanks goes to all those involved with Matchday Forum. What a fantastic two-hour journey for all us who can't get to Mecca.

FFS, keep it going guys.

I hope that the rumours continue to flow during the close season and that the banter flourishes and flows much more vigorously than the stagnant 'pool' of investment money that mysteriously evaporates before it reaches DM's clutches....????

I used to be a member of other Everton pages (still registered but not used), but they just became too muddled and hard to read. (I won't name names). Looking forward to more Toffee talk next season and see where it takes us. My thanks to those involved here and what they do.

I've taken a sabatical from all things football for the last two Summers. Ok, I'd watch the world cup, but football pages or reports where ever, including the mighty ToffeeWeb, were avoided until August 1st.
It really does you the world of good. After the champions' league final it will be the same this year.

Ps, can we mention Ryan Giggs now?

You are suggesting that there are other sites to read about and have banter with other evertonians!! That must surely be heresy.
There is surely only one place to visit, everything else would surely just be second rate!!!

I'd like to add my thanks too. Even when the football itself has been turgid, frustrating or humiliating, the sheer addictiveness of planet Toffeeweb serves to keep all things Everton at the centre of my world.

For the summer, I'll choose to keep remembering the positives from this season: Coleman's directness, Distin's consistency, Osman's header, Bilyaletdinov's blast against Wolves, Jagielka's heroics against Man U, Baines's run and free kick against Chelsea, Neville with Bale hanging out of his pocket and of course Beckford's stroll on Sunday...

All of the above... love the banter... my favorite is when someone posts a serious thread and by the time we get comment #14 everyone turns into a comedian... love it! Ones that stick in my mind that still make me laugh are the article when someone was doing an inside interview with Mikel Arteta and would we like to submit any questions!!!??? Hilarious!

And someone's comment a few weeks ago about Sven meeting Moyes for dinner and it being a "code" for the waitress getting it in the jigger....

Awesome stuff! Genuinely funny people that have me in stiches laughing...

Even now, when the Mrs sees me on the laptop with a smile on my face, she's knows I'm not googling "Imogen Thomas" to see who she is, she asks straight away with that "when will you grow up" face, "are you on TW?"...she just knows....

I've just heard we've snapped up some 16-year-old Chilean kid (well, got first dibs on him) as part of the Everton Chile connection... he'll join up with the academy in the new season... dubbed the new Hernandez...

Best site by a mile, some Everton sites dont show anything critical just there own opinion through the blue tinted specs they wear.

This site always gives both sides of the coin and gives everybody the chance to have there say.

Thanks Michael for all the dots, dashes and paragraphs, excellent job and long may it continue.

Just a quick thank you to Michael & Lyndon, for a great site for Evertonians of all ages.

The end of another season, not what we would have really wished for, but we have finished in a reasonable position, considering the financial restraints and injuries.
As some earleir fan mentioned, we now enter the eight-week "Who will or won't we buy?" period... and that can be hilarious; to all Blues enjoy your break, until it all starts again.
