Im writing to ask if there are any qualified football referees here?
The reason I ask is that we are appealing for help with a ref review where a qualified ref reviews Premier League referee performances and scores them overall on key factors. This season just gone, we managed to review 155 (40%) games but wed like to make that 100% with your help.
Did you know, based on the reviews we carried out, an unbelievable 100% of Red Card decisions as well as over 50% of Penalty Decisions and over 40% of Yellow Card decisions in Everton games were incorrect?
Over the course of the season, our refs have watched games for all teams in the Premier League and scored the ref on each incident assessing four main factors. Decisions could be one of the following:–
• Awarded correctly
• Awarded incorrectly
• Correctly not awarded
• Incorrectly not awarded
Another factor also considered was the type of decision and the effect (weight) it had on the game. For example, the ref not awarding a penalty carries far more weight than the ref awarding a throw-in to the wrong team in the middle of the park.
The format used to review the refs is an open database, you can see minute-by-minute assessments and challenge any part of the reviews. Our refs will re-look at the video and amend if appropriate.
If a decision cannot be confirmed from TV footage as right or wrong, we give the ref the benefit of the doubt so you could say our data is on the conservative side.
More information on how to get involved and links to the individual ref reviews for Everton can be found here :

We would really appreciate your help.

Is this a wind up?
BTW, under EPL rules, clubs are not permitted to show replays on the large screens of controversial incidents, that's for Hansen and Lawro to debate at 22:30 on a Saturday...

It takes about a minute to check and review/

From memory, weren't Arsenal the most impacted? And by twice as much as any other team? I'm not saying the Arsenal supporting reviewers deliberately swayed the results, just that your club allegiance does sway your viewpoint - even if you are a qualified ref. It's in-built - the most reasonable supporter in the world can't help it.
If it were just Arsenal games that were impacted by this bias I guess it would be worthwhile, but that site is full of conspiracies. I recall the review of an Everton/Man City game was damning of the refereeing in Everton's favour... then you get to the end and see that the aim was to show that Peter Walton favors Man Utd and will do anything to hurt their rivals... with the conclusion being that Arsenal were at a refereeing disadvantage to Man Utd during their period as rivals. I actually went to the lengths of watching the game again, along with the review sheet. Seriously, every minor tap and throw in was reviewed if there was a hint of favoritism to City, the other side was disregarded!
Anyway, good luck with the search and fair play for trying to keep them honest as we know there are some that are questionable. I just don't quite think that a panel of supporters is the way to go and you'd be hard pushed to find anyone without bias - and I guess that's probably reflected in top level refs too.

Everton - Man City
This is one of their "Reviews" read it and make your mind about it – for me it's pure drivel. Basically we cheated our way to the win and the ref was favoring us at every occasion; City should have had 2 pens. There was a foul from Fellaini before our goal.
Conclusion: the ref gave us 18 decisions in our favor?!?!? and only 4 to our disadvantage.
I want to know what are these guys drinking/taking!!!

The top tier of todays referees seem far too ready to impose themselves on the game.
They more like dictators than arbitrators and in their rush to show who's boss too many mistakes are made..

Hard call for the ref to make but had it gone for review then who knows. Also diving scum-bags like that sewerage from across the park can be shown up for what they are and sent off for cheating.

The same applies to all Yellow Cards, free kicks and even throw-ins!
I`m happy to give you the benefit of 40 years supporting my team and I`ll even throw in my judgements on the decisions made by Bill Kenwright to to balance the equasion and prove I`m absolutely impartial!

If there are any qualified refs here, we really hope you can help.
Ernie Haywood, yes, in some cases, Arsenal were the worst affected but overall, no we were not. Again, one of our weaknesses is that all the reviewers last year happen to be Arsenal fans. We really want to address this.
Matt Tractor, these are the actual figures; however, we were unable to do every Everton game. The figures represent both for and against combined.
Frank Duffy, maybe this could be the push come shove for video replays?
Stefan, you are welcome to point out anything you don't agree with in the reviews. Our refs will and do re-look at the incidents, some entries have been changed once challenged. Please, go ahead, this is what we want.
Once again, thanks for publishing this and I hope we gain some new refs for this season.

Show the decision on the giant screens so everyone can see why the FINAL decison was made.
Done deal??
