Transfers Out and the Youngsters

With the season around the corner, I'm surprisingly more confident that I probably should be. For some reason I have a feeling that we may not get raped late in the transfer window.

One thing I did notice was a tweet by Tolis Vellios with Coleman and Rodwell in training kits in pre-season. Coleman and Vellios both had squad numbers but Rodwell didn't. Conspiracy maybe, but does anyone think that counts for anything? And if so, are we bothered if he did go?

Anyway back to the point: It's key for me that we keep Fellaini and Baines.

If we do manage to what else do we need? What else do you think we will get? What can we expect from Cisco, Duffy, Barkley this season?

Just to be gready I'd like Clyne at Palace at right back.

Anichebe to Wigan and Yobo to Turkey to help towards funding it.

Pranjic on a free, swap big Vic for Moses (all this £10m Chelsea paper talk is bollocks - he's only got a year on his contract, if they don't sell him they won't get anything same as Rodallega), Pienaar for 3.5m and Donovan on season long loan to be snapped up later.

I think we may see a little more of Barkley but we won't see Duffy or Vellios at all I'd bet.

Drew I think Moses gets a compensation fee as he is under 24.

Ian - Moses came through the youth set up at Palace and was bought by Wigan and so no compensation would be paid to Wigan if he were to move on out of contract.

I just hope that the signing of Naismith is not a sweetener to the fans. He is not yet fully cleared by the SFA and I just hope that BK does not close his purse and think that Naismith is the only signing needed to shut the fans up!!

Sorry to sound pessimistic but I do not trust our board.

It all seemed to be going rather too good in my opinion: Naismith in the bag (good player by the way); Rodellega & Pranjic on freebies; and Pienaar coming back... but the pessimist in me got thinking Baines is on his back to OT, we got Gibson for a fish supper in Jan, and these signings are only getting done quick to appease us.

And Notts Forest have been bought by a billionaire... Nobody buys football clubs these days, eh, Bill? Fuck off!

I think this will be Rodwell's season, must admit his performances before his injury problems were a little mundane and games seemed to bypass him, as he seemed to do neither one thing or the other. However technically wise I think he's got everything to cement a first team spot and remain there for many seasons to come, if the club decides not to sell. I believe he is a far superior player to Gibson, don't get me wrong Gibson has made a real impact on the team and put in some great performances, but ability wise I think Rodwell is a better player only a little less disciplined and experiecenced
