The title of my post could define the worst performance I've seen in 28 matchgoing years, and also Moyes's attitude and tactics.

I'll leave the horror show on the pitch and where we go from here to Tony Marsh as that guy has been talking sense for years and he will put it into words better than me. I look forward to your views on today, Tony.

The thing that is playing on my mind, and to which that title really refers, happened after the 3rd goal. I was in the Main Stand away from my usual seat in the Bullens Road stand. Whoever piped up to Emerson Boyce as he took a throw and screamed "Get a move on, nigger!" — words fail me.

I've never felt ashamed to be a blue and the display alone would've been enough for that, but to those in the Main Stand by the Gwladys Street end who were a lot closer to this shithouse rat than me – please contact the club with seat number.

Nobody seemed to bat an eyelid and I heard it from several rows back loud and clear. Police and stewards did nothing from what I could see...

People's Club, really? What a fucking disgusting day, I should've stayed in bed.

To all those who want Moyes to stay, surely you cannot feel the same way after that?

Do you really want to give him the Fellani/Baines/Miralles/Jagielka money?

The chances are they'll all be looking for the exits now!!

You're always going to have the odd dickhead in the stand but it should be confronted. No matter how angry this man was or how the rest of supporters felt, he wouldn't argue with the majority around him if they were all equally frothing at the mouth in disgust.

I don't know what to say Tony other than incredibly depressing and your headline covers it perfectly. Best I don't say (publicly) what I would do with him and his ilk.

Barry I have also thought that some posters dislike particular players for non-footballing reasons, it really is sad in this day and age.

I was in the block by Gwladys Street, Row X, seat in the 40s so it was about ten rows in front although it sounded like he was sitting next to me. Sorry I didn't see exactly where it come from. I hope a fellow supporter can nail him.

[Sorry to dampen the mood further, everyone.]

You'd better have ammo to back that shit up Barry and Patrick (84-87), fucking disgraceful comments, I don't wanna hear what your radar infers from fucking what exactly. I nearly always agree with the tenor and tone of what you both post, but without the ballast you don't have for this one that's fucking bang out of order gents.

That someone would use that word in this day and age with others sitting around him limp and lame beggars belief. I dearly hope that the thick full-of-bile bigot is tracked down and banned for life from The Old Lady and anywhere else we might one day play.

You're right, Tony, I have been on to Moyes and his methods for years as I could see, like others, that what he was doing would never work. There was no proper style of play or tactics and there still isn't.

It really has been frustrating listening to fans backing him as Moyes himself props up the Kenwright regime. I really hope after today that it sinks in to our supporters what a lucky no-hoper Moyes really is.

Today was the most embarrassing Everton performance I have ever seen... ever! Today's result has been coming since late December yet many chose to ignore the terrible football we started playing and the direction the club was going — all because the carrot of Wembley was being dangled.

It's a shame so many Blues are content to put up with this shitehouse way of playing, no matter how bad as it gets, because they have been brainwashed into thinking change will destroy us; it's a joke.

We are the worst footballing side in the League — and the one below as well. I watch teams like Watford play in a fashion that makes what Moyes coaches cringworthy.

Moyes has to leave surely. I don't think he will though; BK won't sack him and I can't see any club bigger than ours come a calling. It's a shocking thought to think we could have another 5 years of this moronic outdated over-rated manager putting £75k a week in his back pocket.

One thing's for sure: I won't be there as I am done with Everton if the chairman and the fans don't wake up to this nonsense. It's not the money I pay that hurts, it's the way I feel when I watch us play... It hurts so much, it really does. I don't think I can allow myself to be a victim of this massive con-trick called EFC any longer. Why should I?

Tony, I would send your seat details direct to the club along with the approximate time you heard this pathetic individual. Im sure with all the cctv they will find him. There is no place at Goodison or indeed any other ground for this kind of abuse, I'll be glad when this day is over...........

This is a tremendous article as it slightly takes me away from ranting about the match today. Total disgrace that somebody has to use the 'n' word. Frustrated or not, I'm sure the same guy wouldn't have said the same thing to Distin had his header gone in early doors.

Not only was it one of worst performances I've seen Everton play, but probably the most embarrassed I've ever felt.

The positive thing to do would be to say 'It was one of those day's'
But that's missing the point completely.

Plaudits really have to go to Wigan, but we really were 'Ugly, Cowardly, Shameful, Sad, Pathetic.... and more'

As a genuine fan, I feel ashamed to be an Evertonian after the way the players and the manager represented the club.

Disgrace.

What's the point reporting him? Why didn't somebody just tell him to be quiet after the said it, tell the individual you find his behaviour unacceptable.

Football grounds reflect society as a whole, we live in a society in which we are defined by the colour of our skin: Black, White, Asian... until that ends there will always be people like this individual.

What you going to achieve by posting this on the worldwide web which is going to do nothing but muddy our name? All because of one fucking idiot. Absolute pointless.

If you felt that strongly, why didn't you do something about it at the time?

Not condoning the language but at times people say things in the heat of the moment.

Quiet word needed. Nothing more.

Putting it into context, it's just words. Being a scouser down south, I've been abused loads. It ain't no different. I'm man enough to laugh it off but, if it offends you, have a word and if it persists then do something.

Brian Lawlor
241 Posted 10/03/2013 at 00:19:58
If that's the case, what's the point reporting it, and I quote DCI Wainwright: "so he never gets back in Goodison again"?

More chance finding the culprit at the time. Report to steward/police about said comment and the area (must know roughly where the shout came within a 5 - 10 seat square). Steward/Police ask around and someone would shop him. Simple.

Brian Lawlor

So now you've decided that the lad knew roughly where this shitbag was? Read the post. Was he meant to let the stewards know so they could interrogate the 60 people in row P? He has done all he could to bring this to light and I, for one, am glad.

I'm sure Tony will be back on tomorrow to reply to your "assertions".

Paul. It really isn't the same as getting the piss taken because you're a scouser. Really, it's not.

Or find the guy ban him and have the PR machine (this being Everton, I'll supply the elastic band for it). Blast it far and wide... headline: Fans turn in racist from own ranks... We want this gone from football, say club, who thanked fans for their vigilance... Positive spin * puts on Mr Punch voice "That's the way to do it".
Brian Lawlor
250 Posted 10/03/2013 at 00:39:29
Colin - he said it came for several rows back. Is that not 'roughly' enough for you?

So you know for a fact that the stewards wouldn't deem it serious enough to ask a few fans in the severals rows back? It wouldn't take 5 minutes to find someone who knew where he was sitting.

I'm glad you have gained personal satisfaction from this being brought to your attention. However, do you want to give me one worthwhile reason for posting this on the internet?

Colin Wainwright
253 Posted 10/03/2013 at 00:46:42
To, I don't know, maybe raise awareness amongst fans who may have been there. If there's bigots going the match, why not publicise it?

Might get them to fuck then.

Paul Kelly 240 - I've got a London accent and spent five years in Manchester and another five in Lincoln being called a Cockney Cunt / Wanker etc.

Particularly in Lincoln - I've got a couple of broken knuckles and a few broken noses for my trouble, just as a you've had some stick for having a Scouse accent which I'm sure you have, like the Welsh, Scottish, Irish, French and anyone else can be.

Calling someone 'Nigger' is a different level mate.

If it helps, it comforts me to know as a non-English, non-white Everton supporter that the Everton community cares enough to respond to this despicable act even after the fact.

Apart from handing in his resignation, there is another task that Dour Davey should dedicate himself to now that the season is effectively over. Namely blooding the youngsters, the ones HE has held back for seasons, so that Everton will go in to the new season without having to rely on the tired lags and tired brains of the 'old guard'.

4th place in the Prem is way beyond our reach now, and would be so even if we did not have the upcoming fixtures that we do, so bad is the team moral and motivation, BOTH of which are the responsibility of the Manager. So let's look to the future find a new hungry tactically aware motivational manager and lets let Dour Jock Davey go and take all his Jocks like Naismith and 'old guards' like Neville, Round, Osman and even Pienaar with him and of course that stroppy constantly fouling sulk Fellaini.

Oh and please this is an EVERTON forum not an "I am a more Politically Correct and anti-racist moonbat than YOU" forum. Give it a rest boys - yes Racism is nasty but no one died... get a life.

Brian, don't tell Bill I've muddied our name worldwide. That will be his new excuse why he can't sell the club. I knew someone would question me further so fair enough, there was never going to be a good time to bring this shit up, and the name and reputation of the club means as much to me as you, remember that.

I was looking the other way, towards the dugout, wondering what the point of Steve Round is... so, as I said earlier, I couldn't say which row. Was I meant to start questioning half the stand when we were all on the verge of nervous breakdowns watching the display? What are the stewards and police there for?

I had brought a lad with learning difficulties with me. His first game of all games, and he is not very good with crowds at all, so my priority was him, I'm afraid. I was trying to explain to him why this loon had said what he had said... not fucking easy to do – he talked about it all the way home.

I don't regret posting; best to say it today while we are all fucking depressed anyway. Anyway, Brian, let's leave it there, eh? I'm hoping someone close to him clocked his seat on the sly and saved the stewards and police from doing what they are paid for.

Tony, you have done nothing wrong by bringing this up, the days of that type of Neanderthal behaviour should be long gone.

As far as bringing the name of the club into disrepute, it would be anyway if it happened anywhere and was reported by the player themselves or any other supporter who witnessed it, burying your head in the sand isn't going to stop it.

Its an Everton Website with a thread about some dickhead shouting racist crap.
If that doesn't bother you that much Tim, don't post. Why do you have to be a left wing "moonbat" (What?), to think that shouting this kind of shite at the match is out of order?

If getting a new life means spouting the shite you've just come out with, I'll stick to the one i've got.

Racism needs to stamped on whenever and wherever it rears its ugly head. Whoever said this should be banned for life but saying that things have improved so much over the years. I remember standing on Gwladys St in the 70s and 80s and being sickened by the chants and insults thrown against black players like Cunningham, Regis, Anderson, Batson etc... I remember one particular game against WBA when their black players ripped us apart and I actually ended up applauding their every touch much to the dismay if my fellow blues.

I have a fantastic life but I will never accept such crap at my Club - I have and will continue to stand up to racism in any forma round me and if you Tim don't agree then personally I couldn't care less about people such as you.

Just sit back and let other people do your fighting for you to make the world a better place and then just take all the benefits.

I am fully aware that this an EVERTON Forum - - I am an Evertonian and do not want to hear racism at my Club and in my Ground - if you do then that's fine but don't ever tell me how to think and what is acceptable and what is not. Clear.

Sadly, Tim, a young man was murdered in a park in Huyton a year or two ago because of the colour of his skin. What starts as racist bellowing can and does lead to the loss of life.
Everton is more than eleven men on a pitch....

You know - I mean you absolutely just KNOW - that anyone on ANY forum, who uses the expression 'get a life' (hinting they have a full and exciting one involving para-gliding, casinos, fast cars and models) is as pale as fuck, as dumb as fuck and almost certainly sitting in a vest and undies that are covered in Goblin tinned burger gravy and sponk stains. Tony, you have explained yourself and the circumstances more than adequately and should not feel obliged to explain yourself to angry internet Littlejohns.

It is one of the great points about this site that racism gets short shrift, I actually witnessed some horrid stuff today and my response was to do ... nothing. To be honest I was scared to,out numbered and scared.
