Blues duo play in England draw

Ross Barkley and Luke Garbutt both featured for England U-19s as the Young Lions drew 1-1 in their European Championships Group B opener against Croatia.

After Barkley had crashed a shot off the crossbar and Croatia had gone ahead, both Everton youngsters were involved in England's equaliser.

Barkley fed Garbutt down the left and when the opposition defence failed to clear the latter's cross, Chelsea's Nathaniel Chalobah fired home from the edge of the area.

Barkley was substituted with six minutes to go and will now prepare for the next game against Serbia on Friday.

I sure hope Barkley comes through unscathed.
I sincerely believe he is crucial to Everton's midfield improvement which is necessary to become a real contender again.

Would value some opinions on Garbutt from those who have seen him a few times.
