Half-way through the season and Everton are looking up at a top-four finish and a cherished Champions League qualification berth firmly in their sights. Yet, as is often the way with the Goodison Park club, it could – and should – be much better.

I think it's beginning to balance out a bit. We had many poor decisions and some bad luck earlier in the season, but also quite a bit of self-inflicted damage. In the last two games - I'm not saying we weren't worth the points - but we could easily have ended up 2 or 4 points less.
