Everton have announced that Academy striker Anton Forrester has joined Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer following a successful trial with the Championship club.

Thought we rated him quite highly? Guess Blackburn have poached him? We could certainly use a few more youngsters breaking through. Kennedy, Lundstram and Hope look to be the best of the current batch that I have seen.

Ian, You must mean Hope Akpan? Good for him, glad he's making a name for himself. Hallam Hope is a very promising striker from the academy, and still at the club...

On the few occasions I've seen the kids, Forrester seemed to me to be the forward with most about him. Certainly a much more rounded player than Hope for instance. He had pace, could see things around him, and had an eye for goal.
