Silva could make Bulgarian move

João Silva could get the move away from Everton that he desires, with a transfer to PFC Levski Sofia in the offing.

Standart report that the 22-year-old has been discussing personal terms at the Bulgarian outfit's training camp in Lindabrunn, Austria, today in view of completing a €400k deal. Conveniently, of course, Everton's summer camp is also in Austria.

If the move comes off, it would end two frustrating years for Silva at Everton where he has thus far failed to make the grade despite being regarded as one of Portugal's brightest young talents.

Silva, who spent a spell on loan back in Portugal last season, would link up with compatriots Nuno Pinto and Cristovao Ramos at Levski if all goes to plan.

Update, 9 July: Rumour has it that Silva will join Levski initially on a season-long loan.

Sounds like a convenient rumour given the locations. Let him go, I'd much rather we bring on Vellios

He must just not be good enough, and I reckon Velios will be the same. Last season when watching big Denis up front, I fancied my own chances of making the team, so god knows what players like them must have been thinking.

Well he's gone according to the OS. Undisclosed fee.
