Niang loan bid knocked back?

12/11/2012 | Comments (5)
Despite reports in the local Liverpool press last week that David Moyes had no plans to revive his interest in French prospect M'Baye Niang, there are suggestions today that AC Milan have turned down a proposal from Everton to take the 17 year-old on loan for the remainder of the season with a view to a permanent move next summer.

Niang impressed during a trial spell at Finch Farm over the summer and Moyes was keen to sign him but Milan won the battle to sign him from Caen in a deal initially worth €1.7m.

The youngster has failed to make an impact at the San Siro so far amid rumours of problems over his attitude and he has played just a minute of the Rossenieri's season so far as a substitute.

The Italian giants are apparently keen to give him more time, though, rejecting Everton's offer to take Niang off their hands for the remainder of the campaign.

No loss is it really, it's not like he's a ready made striker who'll just walk in to the team, just another "prospect". We have enough of those at the moment.

The window is closed anyhow until January 2013.

Bad attitude... sounds like we should move hell and earth to get this boy — after all, he already turned us down.

Can't see Moyes welcoming a known nob-ead into his squad.
