I thought he was being linked to everyone for £10 mil +? Can't see us stumping that up. Vossen is (apparently) half the price and we'd still struggle to pull that together.

I think what you say is absolutely right all things being equal.

However, the transfer window opens in less than 8 weeks time and sadly we cannot prevent wealthier clubs (than ourselves at present) from making bids for our players and trying to turn their heads as they have in the past.

Obviously, I do not want any of our top players to leave, I would like us to strengthen in January but as a club we have to be continually looking at talent elsewhere if we want to move forward and to cover ourselves against the possibility of a top player leaving Goodison.

I would prefer to get Vossen myself but I do like the look of Bony too.
Can we please get one of them, whoever it may be, as we need serious back-up for Jelavic.

Whilst not trying to slag off most of the teams in Holland, one has to accept that, outside of the top 4, the quality of the teams is nothing like the Premier League.

Bony is leading the goals at present and Vitesse are surprisingly well up there but the 2nd highest goalscorer is Jose Altidore, the American, who, in my opinion, is not worth £3 million if he was available.

Ratboy is a great finisher and rightly commanded a big fee but Bony may not be worth anywhere near £10 million.
