David Moyes remains keen on signing Belgian defensive midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe when the transfer window opens, with the Daily Mail reporting that he despatched a top scout to watch the 23 year-old in Champions League action for Bruges against Bordeaux this past week.

Odjidja-Ofoe looked to be Goodison bound on transfer deadline day in August but FIFA ruled the loan transfer ineligible after the paperwork was submitted too late to qualify.

How does a paper like The Mail get it completely wrong? Brugge are not in the Champions League!!! They are playing in the Europa League.

Non-story this. He was interested in him in the summer,of course he is still interested in him. If he thought we needed a centre mid then, we still need one now.

Why is it a non-story Danny?
Those of us "watching" the last hours of deadline day on the various news/social media sites would have seen how late it come in.

The subsequent endorsement of the player by the likes of Kompany will only have highlighted his potential.

So if Moyes is still interested, which as you say is likely, how certain are we that we've got a clear run at him?

I hope we get him on loan – then we can see how good he is and maybe take him on permanently in the summer if he turns out as we think.

Also, I hope we go in for Jelle Vossen to go with Jelavic – if we can afford him!

I don't think he was playing in the Champions' League.

It's a non-story because he his not in the Champions League.

An ideal replacement for Fellaini...

I think it's obvious... we missed the boat and 'arry will take him to QPR.

Old 'arry will be back poaching all our targets again with superior funds — what a pillock!

He should already be ours, only for some dilatory numpty cocking things up.
