I wouldn't be averse to the idea... although with other rumours it seems we are loaning half of Man City's side! Lescott/Dzeko et al...

Not a fan at all.

Left first team football with an exciting Swansea side to warm City's bench. You'd have thought he might have learnt his lesson from his time at Chelsea.

Plus he goes out with that daft Flanaghan bint.

I'd much rather Barkley be given a chance.

I'd take him. He can play on either flank or up front. Lots of pace, good close control and can use both feet comfortably.

It's a no-brainer, on loan.

Phil, he's be a better option than Barkley for a wing spot as Barkley is a central midfield player.

This is no surprising really... and he would be a good fit. He was a very useful player for Swansea last year, and we desperately need another pacey wide player in the squad. Fingers crossed it works out.

Is it allowed?

He's played for Swansea and Man City this season already.

Is it a calendar year Jamie, or a season?

Currently under the Fifa Transfer Regulations, a football player is unable to play for more than three teams in one season. This applies whether the player has been transferred or simply is on loan with that club.

That should clear it up.

Has he defo played for Swansea this season?

I'd have him in an instant. Mirallas may need some extended recovery time and we have no-one to cover him. Barkley is not a winger and I hope he's not pushed out there.

I don't think we'd get him long term but he'd be a great addition for now while we wait on Mirallas.

Yeah Jon, he scored a belter against QPR on the opening day.

Well that's the end of that then. Nice goal!

Anthony and Jon, doesn't it say MORE THAN three teams in one season?

We'd be the third.

I'm all for it.

That's what I said above Mike. I posted the original FIFA statement.

So long as Man City pay a good chunk of his wages then sure why not. We could use some pace/depth on the wings especially as Mirallas's injury sounds suspiciously re-occurring.

How about Man City give us Dzeko, Sinclair and Lescott on loan and pay their wages all in return for the first option on Victor 'goal machine' Anichebe???

Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs.

Under all circumstances, due consideration must be given to the sporting integrity of the competition. In particular, a player may not play official matches for more than two clubs competing in the same national championship or cup during the same season, subject to stricter individual competition regulations of member associations.

So Anthony says no more than three, but Jamie says you can't play for more than two. Which is it?
Anyway, happy xmas, and hopefully Mirallas will get a lot of games in the second half of the season. See you v Wigan!

Ha ha! I'll go with the FIFA guideline pal.

I'd love to sign him, but this rumour is surely 100% fictional.

Oh, I dunno Mike, Platt says he's free to leave.

Only watched him with Swansea against us. No big deal.

Ideally, LD in. Could spell Mirales, Piennar AND Gibson. In all 3 cases, we'd just keep rolling with no drop-off in quality. Oh well.

Sinclair's OK but only OK. We get him, he understands quickly the demands of EFC.

I think City did an AC Milan / Real Madrid and got the wrong one... Dyer was the better of the Swansea wingers in my humble opinion.

Would rather get that Guidetti from them on loan to give Jela a rest.

I don't think this is a real story... I mean we don't really need any wingers at the moment with Pienaar and Mirallas playing well and having cover in Gueye and Oviedo.

We don't need him; we need other positions filled.

I can definitely see Sinclair going to the RS for some vastly inflated amount.

Steven Ireland of Villa if he became available is a player (depending on his age) who I think could do a job for us, just a thought.

Steven Ireland? If we got him, I would start to worry.

Remember the Jelavic last-minute miss against Chelsea? Well Sinclair misses 20 like that every season.
