Maybe Vadis... Maybe Not

Everton are supposedly undecided on whether to pursue a new deal for Club Brugge midfielder Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe in January.

David Moyes is thought to be keeping his options open ahead of the transfer window reopening next month, but it is believed he may have different priorities when it comes to boosting his squad.

I think it's obvious Gibson has problems with his thigh. Get the guy in.

Definitely need some cover in midfield. If we can get him on loan till the end of the season with a view to a permanent move in the summer will be a good move.

Would love to see this list of priorities and who is pencilled in for the positions we need to recruit for.

I know we probably have little spare cash, but we need another good central midfielder as a matter of urgency.

I cannot believe we are reconsidering the Odjidja move. This highly skilled 6-ft 1-in powerhouse with a cannon in both feet is exactly what we need. All the very best sides have his type of player. Please do not let him go elsewhere.

Get this guy signed up, great skill with the ball and great feet for big player; cover for Gibbo.

I think our need of a new keeper is more urgent; I have no confidence in Howard.

If this lad is as good as he's made out. Surely other teams would of been watching him too, especially as Moyes has an eye for a bargain and they all know we failed to sign him the first time round.

Let's hope Kev and the 'fro persuade him to come hey.

Would it be the end of The Hammer if we do?

Yes, Jamie. I can't disagree with you about Howard. A fine shot-stopper but, with time to think, he turns into a cross between Norman Wisdom and Coco The Clown. Don't even want him on the bench. The situation is top priority, as you stated in your comment. Until it is sorted, all the other concerns will have to be placed to one side.

"Until it is sorted, all the other concerns will have to be placed to one side." — what nonsense. Have you ever heard of multi-tasking? Why stop doing everything else?

Even if David Moyes agreed that Howard had to be replaced — which I highly doubt — nothing would stop him and the rest of the staff from working on whatever other priorities are deemed necessary.

Multi-tasking?! You sound like a Tescos junior manager. Howard is not Mr Moyes's top priority but he should be. Already this season he has cost us at least 8 points and I am being kind.

OK Michael, we won't forget the other problems, especially with Gibbo out till February, a complete right-sided injury list and general defensive issues. Odjidja-Ofoe would solve the Gibbo problem but I'm not too worried. Mr Moyes, on Sky Sports, had the look of someone with a surprise up his sleeve. Happy New Year.
