Hoarau to hold talks with Everton

03/01/2013 | Comments (8)
Paris St Germain have confirmed that striker Guillaume Hoarau left their Qatar training camp today to hold talks with an unnamed club, but RMC radio in France are now reporting that he is set to hold talks with three other clubs. Everton are believed to be one of the four clubs involved.

The 28-year-old's contract is up in the summer, which would make him an ideal target for cash-strapped David Moyes.

Sunderland is the other Premier League club said to be set to hold talks with the striker with Shanghai Shengua and Dalian Aerbin in China rounding out the rumoured four interested parties.

Update

RMC have followed up with a report that the two offers from China are highly lucrative and that the striker could well end up making the move east rather than to the Premier League.

Not seen much of him but no harm having a look on loan. Has a pretty good goals return.

I have a simple rule of thumb with transfers.

If you can imagine the player in a Sunderland shirt...avoid!

Charlie Austin the Burnley striker in to 5/4 from 3/1 to sign for us could be interesting , he can certainly score goals albeit the Championship but Moyes is good at finding them from lower leagues.

Wish we could get Lukaku, he is a better prospect than Sturridge.
He is very young, has a great physique and very strong.
Defo' the next Drogba.

I say give Anichebe and Vellios a run in the team, but Hoaroau on loan is worth a punt.

All the usual rumours but nothing concrete. I would have thought that certain moves should have been in progress before January 1st if any as we need some cover now not at the end of the month in order to consolidate the position we have. The loss of Gibson yet again is a blow with Moyes unsure who fill in with.

Certainly Naismith doesn't appear strong enough or quick enough and some of the other perpetual bench players are not impressing Moyes either. Hitzlsperger is a back number and Heitinga looks on his way out. Still we may yet be surprised.

Old army buddy in France says he's worth a punt but very similar to Jelavic, so could they play together ? Although heard a rumour Athletico Madrid are sniffing round jelly baby so he could be a direct replacement.
