Forren not yet tempted to leave Molde

11/01/2013 | Comments (17)
Vegard Forren could be staying in Norway after all, with the player's agent suggesting that none of clubs that have apparently made overtures to sign him proving attractive enough to tempt him away from champions Molde just yet.

The 24 year-old was reportedly close to agreeing terms with a foreign club last week and he apparently took leave from his country's training camp to hold talks.

Fulham were widely reported to be that club but manager Martin Jol distanced himself from the stories, at which point speculation returned to Everton as David Moyes has personally watched the defender and is known to be very keen on him.

Forren's agent, Jim Solbakken says, however, that while there were "several clubs" interested in his client, "the player himself has indicated that he does not wish to join those clubs."

I'd be a tad anxious too! Are pieces of string and unlimited tickets to Blood Brothers an acceptable form of pay??

Please get this guy, and Virgil Van Dijk, we need more 'V's!'

I reckon we haven't even made a move yet cos we can't afford to and the teams that are in for him, he doesn't fancy going to, but I'm sure he would like to join us as we're up there and in with a shout of Europe?!

It wasn't long ago that Forren said he would be very interested in joining us when we were first starting to be linked to him.

Looks like Ofoe's off the radar too.

I hope that he's set to come to us but we'll get him cheaper at the end of the season so are having to wait, the rumoured price has gone up from 1.5m to 4m since the management team were photographed watching him.

I hope he does come then, he looks great and that kind of patience and commitment is what is required to be an asset to our squad

Thought this one might be a goer. I presume we are not the club that got turned down. Guess that means that heitinga is not leaving.

We're skint, so chances are Heitinga will be off before we get Forren in. Watch this space...

Brian

Everton will wait until the eleventh hour - because that's where the value is.

Is this about Molde not wanting to leave Forren?

Brian Murray (#091), who else has? This is the quietest transfer window I can remember.

This looks like Forren don't want to play for us... he might have higher ambitions... like sitting on the bench at a Champions League team.

Norwegian TV2 probably think that having a medical in Liverpool automatically means Anfield.

It's an Agatha Christie 'Ten Little Indians' — who's next? That's Soton, QPR both DOING something; meanwhile, back at the ranch!!

BK speculates every time he puts a show on in a theatre without guarantee of a return.

I reckon Everton must be worth a bit of this stingy boards money without needing to sell one of our first eleven. Can't they interest anyone in Heitinga? some of our article writers on here seem to.
He and Magaye should be sold as I can't see any club buying Naismith.

We really need to hang on to our best eleven players unless they put in transfer requests. Get rid of Heitinga, Mucha, Gueye and Hitzlsperger before any of our class players and empty out the youngsters if they are no use.
