I can personally guarantee you that this kid and the Icelandic player mentioned in one of the prior news items will score a combined 40 goals for us next season.

That's a very brave prediction Clarence for two fairly unproven youngsters.
Although if we do sign them I would love you to be right

Clarence, Atsu has scored 6 goals in 37 professional appearances. From where does your extraordinary confidence in him originate?

One for the future, eh?

Not ours – that's for sure.

I'm going down the bookies , sticking a tenner on - should get a decent return on an Everton duo scoring 40 in a season, that hasn't happened since the halcyon days of Linker and Sharp.

6 goals in 37 games?

He must be able to close the full backs down, run the channels and corner flags non stop & work his socks off defensively.

Atsu, Atsu we all fall down.

If we want a striker who will get 20 plus goals a season (season after season) we are going to have to pay full whack for one, a named one, not the next big thing or some unknown!

Yakubu was over £10 million and he delivered (until his injury) so for me we have to be looking at paying somewhere similar or get lucky.

NB – Jelle Vossen, the Belgian international, is still banging them in for Genk and for me would be worth going after – very soon.

Have you ever read A Bola? It's a sports comic posing as a newspaper and has to fill its pages with footy stories on a daily basis.

Are its editors tempted to publish rubbish? You bet! May they be tempted to make things up? Of course!!

Should we pay it any attention? You tell me!!!

I'm sure they would first like to know who the manager will be before they embark on a goalfest.

I love the way we get excited about linked players when we've just had that transfer window scam in January.

6 in 37. Sounds like Moyes's ideal player!

No chance of these 2 scoring 20+ each as they'll be lucky to get 10 minutes a game.

See the Boy Wonder was left out of Man Utd's starting line up tonight. Could this be the end of the Love-In. Come home son, so Bill can NOT sell you again for £50 Million, though in fairness, he didn't sell him for £50 Million.

Here we go again... Linked with players all of a sudden. Soon to be followed by takeover interest?? What time of the season is it? Wouldn`t be season ticket time again, would it??

You can read the actions of this chairman like a Janet and John book now.

This implies we will have money to spend and further implies Moyes will still be at Everton next season. I'm not a betting man but even I'd stick £20 on both of those not to happen, despite the impending £25m windfall.

The only way we are going to buy players is if we sell someone first, the extra £25m will go some way to disguising the £19/20m we lose each year (yes it was only supposed to be £9m but when you factor in we made a £10m profit on player sales; which can't last forever - then you see it's really £19m)

It really is TIME FOR CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!

Phil Roberts
772 Posted 06/03/2013 at 08:01:10
Yes Paul, time for a change. Time we stopped paying just over £30 for a ticket and forked out £50 per match. Time we stopped being the people's club and put in lots of corporate boxes and did a deal with a prawn supplier. Time we came out with a new shirt every 3 months and a different one for the FA Cup.

Is that what you meant to stop us making losses?

Or does your idea of not making losses mean some rich guy subsidising us to the tune of £20m per year by paying for some advertising and writing it off against his other businesses?

Our songs are shit at the match. We need a player who we can sing a proper song about because at the minute we're sounding a bit stale.

The Everton Way: Sell to Buy:

Fellaini will go
Heitinga will go
Gueye will go
... and hopefully Naismith will go.

This will free up some wages too — especially if Fellaini goes.

Jamie there is absolutely no way we were seriously in for Negrado. The conversation will have gone something like this:

BK: "So how about selling us Negredo for £10M?"
Reply: "Laughter! You will need to at least double that!"

With the supposed prospect of us selling at least one of our big name players in the summer, it will be outragely funny to see how many players we get linked with over the next couple of months.

Fuckin' 'ell... why oh why do we keep on yak-yak-yakin on with these probably pissed ineffectual rants about how many players we might get/how much for Fellaini/Baines et al.?

Will Moyes stay? Which German club? Which Martinez clone? Our glass is half-full/half-empty knobeads....?

Let's get this right. We will be left with a chairman with what we've had all along... a chairman with NO MONEY.

Forget the board. They want him out!!! They've got money. HE HASN'T...

GOT IT YET ???.....HE HASN'T GOT ANY MONEY... THEY HAVE!

So why do you think that a group of people in and around this club who are worth between them an estimated 2-3 BILLION, won't put a poxy £10-15M (even against TV money) in when the team are clawing desperately near to a Champions League place????

Surley the bloody penny's dropped???

YES! THEY WANT RID OF HIM — WAS THE RIGHT ANSWER!

The first order of business in this club, in my opinion, is to protest against this chairman's continuous presence in Everton Football Club.

Work it out!

Tristan Kerr

Tristan (#031).

Kenwright was supposed to have had a £200mill offer for the club when we went to 4th back then. He turned the offer down, probably thinking, with Moyes seemingly being a new fresh wonder manager, he would take the team to even greater glory, both on and financially off the pitch.

Obviously as we fell away from those highs, any investor could see us and weigh up our situation more clearly – coupled with are ever accruing debt situation. The 'Board' (and Co) were probably pissed right off that they didn't get their enhanced share prices, and have since that time (Lord Grantchester in particular) sat back and waited for Mr Kenwright to implode under the burden of his ever accruing financing... aka debts.

Grantchester has said in particular, that he will not step in and take an active financial role in the club while True Blue Holdings (Kenwright's 'consortium') remain in place.

Lord Grantchester has also been believed to have offered Kenwright his 'coin back' on his shares but, given the difference in scale from that offer, he poo-pooed it.

Which brings us to recent events, ie, the refusal of the board to back any transfer activity in the recent transfer window. Well, again all this goes hand in hand with the Chairman's refusal to sell (sharewise), and, in my opinion, I think with the teams recent surge towards a Champions League place, the Chairman has yet again gambled on Moyes and the team getting him out of his hole, but it looks almost uncertain now that that scenario will come off due to, or in part because of the team's performance and/injury woes... and above all, the lack of transfer activity, and last day deadline bollocks.

So... what next? Simple(ish)... We should hound him till he lets go and sells.

I would have thought a basic knowledge of pathology was a minimum prerequisite for posting on a football website.
