Klinsmann linked with Everton managerial role

The Echo reports on gambling excitement at the prospect that Jurgen Klinsmann could be in line to replace David Moyes.

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power started tweeting about a rush of money being placed on the 48-year-old on Monday, and Klinsmann then stoked rumours himself by following the Blues from his own Twitter account.

Klinsmann is fond of the Toffees, and has visited Finch Farm to discuss Tim Howard's progress in the past.

He is also an admirer of out-going boss Moyes, saying in 2011: “David is known within coaching circles as being someone who's constantly learning and constantly curious. “If you don't have the resources like the big, big teams have to go out and spend millions on the next big player, you have to be even more on top of the other areas in order to get the most out of your players and to compete with the big clubs.”

But despite the fevered speculation, Stateside football experts believe the current boss of the US men's national team is unlikely to be on his way to Merseyside.

Klinsmann is paid $2.5M a year in his current role, and is only a year away from hoping to take the US to the next World Cup in Brazil.

TalkSport just interviewed a football writer for Sports Illustrated magazine. He confirmed Klinsmann has made a statement in the US that he is not interested nor has he been contacted by Everton.

...the power of misleading information on Twitter!!

Why would he trade California for the bloody Wirral when he already turned down a move to Spurs?

Klin and Duncan would be a dream ticket. He's a class act, no question.
