Squads announced for International Champions Cup

The organisers of the International Champions Cup, which kicks off in Valencia tomorrow before moving to the USA, have been announced their version of the official "rosters" for each team but Everton will confirm their final traveling party over the weekend.

There was little reason to suspect for Sylvain Distin or Bryan Oviedo being omitted from Everton's line-up so the ICC's list clearly didn't feature all of the players Roberto Martinez plans on bringing, but the likes of Ross Barkley, John Lundstram and John Stones will be buoyed by their inclusion if, as expected, they will be included on the tour.

All four of Martinez's summer signings to date — Kone, Alcaraz, Robles and Deulofeu — are included in the Blues' squad which is listed as follows on the ICC website:

Goalkeepers: Joel Robles, Tim Howard

Defenders: Leighton Baines, John Heitinga, Phil Jagielka, Antolin Alcaraz, John Stones

Midfielders: Darron Gibson, Gerard Deulofeu, Kevin Mirallas, Ross Barkley, Leon Osman, Steven Pienaar, Seamus Coleman, Marouane Fellaini, John Lundstram

Forwards: Nikica Jelavic, Arouna Kone, Steven Naismith, Apostolos Vellios, Victor Anichebe

Everton kick off their part in the eight-team tournament against Juventus on Wednesday evening local time in San Francisco.

Depending on their result against the Italian champions, the Blues will face either LA Galaxy or Real Madrid in Los Angeles on 3rd August, with all eight teams finishing in Miami on 7th/8th August.
