Ibou Touray became the fifth youngster to sign a professional contract with Everton this summer, penning a one-year deal.

The left-sided full-back, who has been a regular for the U18s and also broke into Alan Stubbs's U21 side last season, came to the attention of Everton scouts playing against the Blues as a trainee for Liverpool and has been in the Academy for three years.

"A few days [after that game] my dad got a phone call asking if I wanted to sign a scholarship. I said yes because I thought it was a better choice than Liverpool," Touray told the official site.

“I'm delighted [to get a professional deal]. I came from playing Sunday league three years ago, so it's a good achievement in such a short space of time.”
