Mick Buckley passes away

Former Blues midfielder Mick Buckley has sadly passed away aged 59.

The Manchester-born player made 158 appearances for Everton in the 1970s and signed off in the 6-0 win over Chelsea in 1978 (when Bob Latchford hit his 30th League goal of the season) after which he joined Sunderland.

Spells at Hartlepool, Carlisle United and Middlesbrough followed.
