Barry: England recall would be a fantastic bonus

Gareth Barry says that his main focus is getting his form going for Everton but admits that he would not turn down the chance to play for England again should Roy Hodgson call on him.

The 32 year-old has faded from the national setup recently, in part due to his diminishing role at Manchester City, but his loan switch to Everton and the regular first-team football that has come with it means that he is getting back to what he feels is his best form.

Barry insists that his priority is doing well for the Blues, where the possibility of a permanent switch exists next summer when his City contract expires, but a return for England prior to or at next year's World Cup would be a fantastic bonus.

"It's something that I definitely wouldn't be turning down at the moment," he says in "If an England call comes with that, then fantastic, but it's certainly at the back of my mind."
