Ferguson handed first-team coaching role

Duncan Ferguson will make the step up from reserve-team coaching to Everton's senior setup after being promoted to a first-team coaching role.

The former Blues striker, who has been cutting his teeth as a coach in club's youth Academy, will start life in his new position in Roberto Martinez's backroom team alongside assistant manager Graeme Jones, first-team development coach Dennis Lawrence and goalkeeping coach Inaki Bergara on Monday.
