Everton legend and current Under-18s coach, Kevin Sheedy, stirred up controversy yesterday after posting to Twitter criticism of David Moyes's regard for the club's youth team during his time as manager at Goodison Park.

Sheedy worked under Moyes for almost seven years in the Everton Academy at Finch Farm and, after tweeting a sarcastic critique of Manchester United's tactics in their 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool, he added his opinion on what he feels was the former Blues boss's lack of attention to the club's younger players.

"All of you out there moyes (sic) was never interested in our youth team or players.

"In my 7 years moyes (sic) showed no intereset (sic) in our youth team."

The more accusatory tweets have since been removed by Sheedy who is new to the social media platform, having only joined within the last fortnight.
