Royle takes up Norwich post

Joe Royle has joined Norwich City as a football consultant where he will link up with Neil Adams whom he managed as a player at Oldham Athletic.

Royle joins the backroom staff at Carrow Road along with Gary Holt and Mark Robson who arrive as first-team coaches as the Canaries bid to return to the Premier League again following their relegation last month.

Royle had recently held discussions with Everton regarding a return to the club in a similar consulting role under Roberto Martinez at Finch Farm.
