Barrett-Baxendale awarded MBE

Dr Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Chief Executive Officer of Everton in the Community and Deputy CEO of Everton FC, has been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

She is awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for “services to the Merseyside community” heading up the club's award-winning official charity.

"I am absolutely overwhelmed and truly humbled to have received this recognition," Dr Barett-Baxendale said on hearing the news.
