Everton confirm FC Porto friendly

Everton will play FC Porto in a friendly for Leon Osman's testimonial at Goodison Park on 3rd August.

Kick off will be 3pm.

The club have also announced another pre-season game against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on 22nd July, kicking off at 7.45pm.

Osman is being recognised for over a decade of service to Everton and he was delighted that the club were able to secure the Portuguese champions as opposition for his big day.

"To get FC Porto, a leading team from a top European country, to come over and play is great news," he told evertonfc.com.

"It's a great honour to get a testimonial and I will certainly be enjoying the day."

Looking forward to visits to Goodison and good ole style traditional hostelries in L4 in August. Who needs trips to far flung corners of the earth...
