Ukraine 0 - 2 Northern Ireland
The third of the British teams take the field after England beat Wales with a tricky-looking clash with Andriy Yarmolenko and Ukraine in Lyon in the second game of the day.
Northern Ireland took the lead through a brilliant McAuley header in the second half and then doubled their lead through McGinn in stoppage time to register their first ever win in the European Championship finals.
Germany 0 - 0 Poland
The final match of the day saw one of the tournament favourites Germany take on neighbours Poland looking to pick up the win that would put them in command of Group C.
A fairly drab goalless draw could have been avoided had Arkadiusz Milik not spurned a perfect chance early in the second half and them mis-kicked another later on, either one of which might have handed the Poles a well-earned win had he made better contact.
As it was, the two nations had to be content with a point each which, combined with the other result in Group C condemns Ukraine to become the first country eliminated from Euro2016.
