Everton U18s were back on form today as they notched an impressive 3-1 victory over Manchester City.
The Young Blues took the lead through Antony Evans and took a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to Michael Donohue's stroke.
New pro signing Tom Davies extended the lead to three before City pulled back a late consolation.
The result was a welcome return to winning ways for Paul Tait's team after they lost their unbeaten start to the season last weekend with a 2-1 defeat to Blackburn. In the process, they inflicted on City's U18s their first loss of the campaign.
Everton U18s: Hewelt, Yates, Myers, Bainbridge, Feeney, Davies, Donohue, Walsh (c), Evans, Broadhead, Bramall.
Subs:O'Loughlin, Lees, Morris, Harrington, Kiersey.

Everton have big hopes for young Evans, a striker who is still only 16(?), I have not seen this boy but hope to this season; more young lads coming through?

Walsh could well be the most naturally gifted lad with the academy and no, I haven't forgotten Dowell. Unfortunately, like Wallace, Long, McAleny and co, his lack of inches will always be a problem.
