Everton “consider” bid for Shaqiri

Shaqiri has only been at Inter Milan for a year after joining them from Bayern Munich following the World Cup but he failed to set the world alight in Serie A.

Inter accepted a £12m offer from Stoke City last month but the 23 year-old rejected the prospect of moving to the Britannia Stadium.

In the interim, Schalke have emerged as favourites to land Shaqiri, their higher profile and the familiarity of the Bundesliga seen as a big draw for the Swiss international.

Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Everton considering an offer of their own but it's unclear if Roberto Martinez is even interested in the player.
