Reports linking Everton with Udinese defender Thomas Herutaux continue to surface, with two separate sources in Italy suggesting that negotiations are underway. 0 Comment Sport Mediaset (reliability unknown, but they erroneously refer to the 27-year-old as being Belgian) report briefly that a deal could be completed "within days" while Sky Italia contributor Tancredi Palmeri claims that the Blues have made contact with the Serie A club.
The Frenchman was first linked with a move to Goodison two years ago but has re-emerged as a potential target this summer as Roberto Maritnez seeks to bolster his defensive options.
He could face competition from Juventus, however, who have emerged as potential suitors for Heurtaux.
