Reported Everton target Andriy Yarmolenko has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Dynamo Kiev but his goal is still to secure a move to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old's contract was due to expire next summer, making his one of the most sought-after pre-contract agreements in the game come January but, in a move widely believed to one aimed at ensuring that Dynamo get his full transfer value, he has signed on until October 2020.

That now removes the danger for the Ukrainian club of Yarmolenko leaving at a reduced price in January or for free next summer.

"We're continuing to work on Yarmolenko's transfer," his agent Vadim Shabliy said. "The contract was signed so that all parties would calm down."

Everton continue to be linked with a player who appeared to be on the verge of signing for them in August, only for negotiations to collapse, but Barcelona and now Chelsea are rumoured to be strongly interested.

Shabliy recently posted a photograph of himself at Goodison Park, fuelling rumours that the Blues were still actively working on a move for Yarmolenko and the @FutbolUkraine Twitter account has posted fresh quotes regarding the matter.

"Most of the clubs that the press spoke about made concrete offers for Andriy," Shabliy said. "I won't go into details."

"I spoke to Roberto Martinez. I was at [Goodison Park], we had meetings. I won't speak too much on this topic. Martinez spoke to the English press.

"Yarmolenko's preferred destination? My priority is to get him to play in the English Premier League. That is his desire.

"I don't know if Everton is still interested. Life goes on. But Everton is a good club, good team, I liked it very much.

"My next trip to England? I don't know. I'll be traveling a lot for work soon. If someone calls me soon, I'll be there."
