Everton keep tabs on Serbian midfielder

The 19-year-old is back at the Rajko Mitić Stadium this season after a loan spell with Kolubara and has apparently caught the attention of Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Daily Mail suggest that Everton have made an enquiry about the midfielder on the recommendation of Roberto Martinez's chief scout, Kevin Reeves.

The player himself, however, claims that Chelsea have also registered their interest in him: "Nemanja Matic is a friend, he's Serbian and he has been at Chelsea for over a year. He tells me that they want me."
