Newcastle and Sunderland are the latest clubs to be linked with a move for Steven Naismith when the transfer window opens in less than two weeks' time.
0 Comment The Sun are apparently reporting that Steve McClaren has identified the Scottish forward as an important potential addition to his squad as they bid to pull away from the bottom of the Premier League.
New Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce is also believed to be an admirer of Naismith and could rival the Magpies for his signature.
Aston Villa were reported as suitors for the 29-year-old over the weekend, while Norwich City, whom Naismith almost joined on transfer deadline day in September, are also still interested in his services.
