Jordanian billionaire 'in talks' regarding Everton takeover

Hasan Abdullah Ismaik, the Jordianian construction magnate whom the Daily Mail claimed this past week was on the lookout for a Premier League club has his sights set on buying Everton according to an 'exclusive' report.

Hitherto unknown website Winner Sports are claiming an 'exclusive' with their report that Ismaik is vying with John Jay Moores' consortium with his interest in the Blues and has already held talks with Everton's chairman.

“Mr Hasan Abdullah Ismaik met with Bill Kenwright at his London office. Talks are on-going and progressing quickly, and Mr Hasan is hopeful of concluding the takeover as soon as possible.”

Moores and his JMI Services-led consortium are reportedly in a six-week period of exclusivity with Everton as they examine the club's books which would preclude a sale to any other party until the end of January at the earliest.

Ismaik is reputed to be worth around £2bn and owns a 49% stake in 1860 Munich but has, according to the Mail, become frustrated at Bundesliga rules prohibiting him from taking overall control of the club and to run it his way.

That has him looking to the Premier League for his next venture and Witness Sports are suggesting that the Blues are one of the four clubs he is seriously looking at.
