Blues 'favourites' to land another Spanish 'keeper

The Spaniard has been linked strongly with Liverpool in recent weeks but Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Everton are favourites to sign a player who the report say is "teased" by the prospect of playing in the Premier League.

Lopez is highly experienced, having played for the likes of Sevilla and Real Madrid but at 34 he would not be a signing for the future and would soon put Everton back into the situation they face now with an ageing 'keeper at the end of his top-class career.
